Claire Russell

Founder, The Local Edit

After more than 25 years working in marketing, communications, digital strategy, and customer engagement, founder Claire Russell has spent her career helping companies build visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and create marketing strategies designed to drive real business growth.

Her background includes leadership roles supporting Fortune 500 companies, global organizations, healthcare and technology brands, and high-growth businesses — including work with companies such as Google, IQVIA, and PRA Health Sciences — where she focused on digital innovation, consumer engagement, marketing strategy, and large-scale growth initiatives.

But beyond the corporate experience, Claire’s passion has always lived on the creative and consumer side of marketing — the part centered around storytelling, aesthetics, community, experience, and understanding what genuinely resonates with people.

As someone deeply interested in fashion, wellness, lifestyle, and local business culture, she’s always been drawn to the businesses and brands that feel personal, intentional, and connected to the communities they serve.

And as both a marketer and consumer, she understands something many businesses struggle with today:

People don’t connect with businesses simply because they exist online. They connect with businesses that feel authentic, approachable, consistent, and present — both digitally and in real life.

The Local Edit was built to help local businesses bridge that gap.

Today, Claire partners with founders, studios, boutiques, wellness brands, hospitality concepts, and service-based businesses looking to grow more intentionally through a combination of digital presence, community visibility, creative storytelling, and real-world connection.

Her approach blends strategic thinking with approachable creative support — helping businesses create stronger visibility, deeper customer loyalty, and marketing that feels more human, connected, and aligned.

Because the strongest businesses aren’t built through marketing alone — they’re built through trust, experience, and meaningful community connection.
